Bananas coming out my ears

I always seem to have a pile of bananas that are a bit to ripe for any of us to eat....I usually make muffins but was looking for a change. So I found this recipe for Frosted Banana Bars on www.tastykitchen.com and gave it a try. Delicious!


For The Bars
½ cups Butter
2 cups Sugar
3 whole Eggs
1-½ cup Ripe Bananas, Mashed
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 pinch(es) Salt

FOR FROSTING:
½ cups Butter
8 ounces Cream Cheese (Softened)
4 cups Confectioner's Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Preparation Instructions
For the bars:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs, bananas, and vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Pour into a greased 15×10×1 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

For frosting:
Cream butter (from the 2nd half of the ingredients list) and cream cheese in a mixing bowl.
Gradually add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla.
Beat well.
Spread over bars.
